Further the common good and general welfare of residents by promoting improvements in public services

Promote the welfare of our active and retired members

How the PAC Works

The CFPEA PAC is funded entirely by a transfer of funds by the members in the Annual General Membership meetings. These funds are kept strictly separate from regular union financial accounts.

The PAC operates in accordance with all California Fair Political Practices Commission (FPPC) guidelines and fulfills all required IRS reporting obligations for political organizations.

PAC Activities

  • Researching candidates’ positions on issues that affect city employees
  • Conducting candidate interviews and questionnaires
  • Making candidate endorsements based on voting records
  • Providing financial support to endorsed candidates
  • Organizing member volunteer opportunities
  • Voter education and get-out-the-vote efforts

How to Get Involved

Face-to-face time with elected officials and candidates makes a stronger impression than financial donations alone
