What is the CFPEA PAC?
The CFPEA Political Action Committee (PAC) supports and furthers the goals and policies of the Association. The PAC was established to ensure that the voices of professional City employees are heard in the political process.

CFPEA PAC is recruiting members to participate in candidate interviews for the upcoming City Council races in Districts 1, 3, 5, and 7. This is your opportunity to directly engage with candidates before the June 2 primary.

The Specific Purposes of Our PAC
Support political candidates and positions on ballot measures endorsed by the Association
Contribute funds as approved by the Executive Board to political candidates and positions on ballot measures
Further the common good and general welfare of residents by promoting improvements in public services
Promote the welfare of our active and retired members
Encourage improvements in benefits, compensation, working conditions, and retirement status
Withhold support when candidates or issues are not in the best interests of the Association
How the PAC Works
The CFPEA PAC is funded entirely by a transfer of funds by the members in the Annual General Membership meetings. These funds are kept strictly separate from regular union financial accounts.
The PAC operates in accordance with all California Fair Political Practices Commission (FPPC) guidelines and fulfills all required IRS reporting obligations for political organizations.
PAC Activities
- Researching candidates’ positions on issues that affect city employees
- Conducting candidate interviews and questionnaires
- Making candidate endorsements based on voting records
- Providing financial support to endorsed candidates
- Organizing member volunteer opportunities
- Voter education and get-out-the-vote efforts
How to Get Involved
Face-to-face time with elected officials and candidates makes a stronger impression than financial donations alone
Volunteer for Events
Join candidate walks, attend town halls, and participate in campaign activities. Families are welcome at most events! Your presence and voice make a real difference.
Stay Informed
Attend PAC meetings and read PAC communications to stay updated on endorsements and upcoming political activities.

The PAC is governed by the Executive Board of CFPEA who oversee all political activities and endorsement decisions.
